UPDATE

My mom talked to my Uncle Kevin and he said that they took the breathing tube and the other tube that they had to drain my grandpa's stomach out. Right now he is breathing on his own though he is breathing heavy. The doctors are satisfied at this point. He seems to be resting comfortably.
Thanks for your prayers!
My mom's latest update - see below!
Thank you for your continued prayers. Dad was taken back to ICU on Sunday afternoon and a breathing tube was inserted and he had to be sedated. He hadn't slept for 30 hours and his oxygen levels continued to drop. When the decision was made Dad was very upset and didn't want it done. He has a living will where he states he does not want to be kept alive on machines. It was a very upsetting time for the family. The doctor overrode Dad's refusal because he felt that he was not in a rational frame of mind at the time. They removed the tube yesterday morning about 8:30 and now have a full oxygen mask on and his level are still below normal. They also are giving him a blood transfusion. The ICU doctor just spoke to my brother and sister and said that there is a possibility that they will have to put the breathing tube, etc back in and wanted to know if they felt Dad was coherent enough to give permission and if not that the family may have to make the decision on whether or not they go ahead with procedure again.

I will continue on in prayer...I'm so sorry your family has to go through this. Just remember, the Lord is your strength & song & He is completely in control & He is completely good (can you tell I'm reminding myself, too?) :-)

We'll be praying for you and your family during this time of making all of these decisions. And pray that God gives your mom another opportunity to talk with your grandpa.
May the Lord give you His strength during this time as only He can. (I'm sure your parents must be exhausted.)
