Prayer Requests

Dear friends and family-
I have an urgent request - if you could please be praying for my grandpa, (my mom's dad). He hasn't been doing well physically for the past few months and was diagnosed with an Aortic aneurysm . I think if it is 4mm or smaller they leave it alone because the risks of surgery out weigh the risks of the aneurysm. However, my grandpa's was over 8mm and growing, the risk of it bursting was so high that they had to operate. The placement of the aneurysm, forced them to open him completely up like open heart surgery, not their first choice since he is 86 years old.
His heart stopped during surgery and they believe that he has also had another heart attack since the surgery. The surgery went well, and his organs are working, but he is in pain and very restless. He hadn't slept in a couple days and it was hindering his healing, fluid in his lungs and stomach. They decided to sedate him and put a breathing tube in him to help him get some rest and aid in his recovery. The next few days are critical and we would appreciate your prayers for his full recovery. We love you and appreciate your prayer support. There are about 10 other things you can pray for as well but won't take the time with the details right now.....but God knows them :).

Troy & Sherry -
I read your parent's note in the Alumni newsletter last night & I wanted to let you know that I will remember your grandpa in my prayers. It's hard to see those we love suffer so much, especially when their faith is not in the Lord Jesus. We'll be praying down some healing for him - spiritual & physical! You guys hang in there & take care...

Wow, my heart goes out to you all and I'll be praying for your grampa. My grampa went through something very similar a few years ago and though we read and prayed with him, he never gave a profession of faith. Though God knows his heart and that's my comfort.
