Busy weekend!
We had a very busy weekend! We went back and forth on going to Ikea because of the weather and also because Troy had a wiring problem in his steering column on his truck, and we had no heat, the windows wouldn't roll down and a few other minor things. Well, my amazing husband does it again, took the steering column apart, found and fixed the problem. So we ended up going with heat and the ability to roll down our windows if we so desire. :)
We finally decided on a theme (see below), I kind of wanted to stick to bold colors so we could easily match it up with other accesories, at a reasonable cost and we could also use them again.
This is a storage unit we got - but we got blue, red and green bins with two white shelves. It will be nice for storage.
We also needed a wardrobe in the nursery because there isn't a closet. We got this one at a great deal and it matches the rest of the furniture perfectly. We got a few other things for decoration and will try and get a picture taken once we actually get some things in the room. We have to polyurethane the hardwood floors in there and we also are putting up a fan in there to replace the old flourescent light fixture in there. The fan is pretty cool, it is a heater fan, it has its own remote control that regulates the heat in the bedroom, you set it for the temperature you want and the fan will keep the room at that temperature. We figured this would be perfect having an older and colder house, it will keep the babies room warm since troy and i like it cooler, especially at night.

Looks like some great stuff! I love the bright colors. Did you get the bedding from ikea also?
Forgot to ask - what color will the baby's room be?

Looks great, Sherry! I've never heard of a fan like that, either but it sounds fabulous! How's your cold?
IKEA in Conneticut is actually where we decided on the theme for Matthew's room - they had all of those great jungle animals!!
yeah, I am intrigued by the fan as well. Love the armoire. I think I really need to take a trip to that store sometime ;)

Love the great deals and beautiful accessories! Yeah we'll have to get together! We are debating going to SC for Sierra's spring break, so maybe we could meet up along the way!
